- Besan/ Chickpea flour – 1/2 cup
- Fine Sooji/ Semolina – 2 tbsp
- Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Salt – to taste
- Roasted Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1/4 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder – to taste
- Green Chillies – 1 (finely chopped)
- fresh coriander leaves – 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
- Red Chili Powder – to taste
- Oil – for cooking
- Bread slices (Cut in desired shape- triangle, square, rectangle) (approx: 4)
Method:
- Batter:
- In a pan, take besan.
- Add Sooji and water (just enough to make semi- viscous batter).
- Add salt, coriander leaves, onions, garam masala, green chilli, red chilli pwd, roasted cumin pwd, black pepper pwd. Mix well.
- Heat non-stick pan/ tawa and drizzle a little oil.
- Spread batter on one side of bread with spoon .
- Place in on tawa and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Apply batter on the top side of bread.
- Drizzle a little oil on the top-side and flip the toast.
- Allow the toast to cook on the under-side for a few minutes.
- Serve with ketchup or chutney.
