Quantity: 15-18 medium sized Ladoos
Ingredients:
- Sooji/ Rava: 1 cup
- Desi Ghee: 2 tbsp
- Sugar: 3/4 cup (You can add more sugar if you want)
- Cardamom powder: 1-2 tsp
- Nuts: Almonds (chopped), cashews (chopped), raisins
- Dessicated coconut: 3-4 tbsp
- Warm Milk: 1/4 cup
Method:
- Heat ghee in pan.
- Add almonds, cashews and roast for 2 mins.
- Add sooji and roast it on low flame for 10 mins. (Make sure sooji doesn't change color)
- Turn off the flame. Let it cool.
- Grind sugar and cardamom pwd together.
- Add ground sugar and cardamom to the roasted sooji.
- Add dessicated coconut and raisins. Mix well.
- Slowly add milk and mix well.
- Take some mixture in hand and make ladoos.
- Store in air tight container in a cool dry place.
PS:
- You can keep this ladoos for 3-4 days, if refrigerated. (Adding milk and coconut reduces shelf life of ladoos)
- If using fresh grated coconut, roast it for 2 mins after roasting nuts. And dry roast sooji separately. Then mix everything together (roasted nuts and coconut, roasted sooji, sugar and cardamom powder and milk) and make ladoos.
