Sooji Ladoo/ Rava Ladoo




Quantity: 15-18 medium sized Ladoos
Ingredients:

  • Sooji/ Rava: 1 cup
  • Desi Ghee: 2 tbsp
  • Sugar: 3/4 cup (You can add more sugar if you want)
  • Cardamom powder: 1-2 tsp
  • Nuts: Almonds (chopped), cashews (chopped), raisins
  • Dessicated coconut: 3-4 tbsp
  • Warm Milk: 1/4 cup
Method:
  • Heat ghee in pan.
  • Add almonds, cashews and roast for 2 mins.
  • Add sooji and roast it on low flame for 10 mins. (Make sure sooji doesn't change color)
  • Turn off the flame. Let it cool.
  • Grind sugar and cardamom pwd together.
  • Add  ground sugar and cardamom to the roasted sooji.
  • Add dessicated coconut and raisins. Mix well.

  • Slowly add milk and mix well.

  • Take some mixture in hand and make ladoos.
  • Store in air tight container in a cool dry place.
PS:
  • You can keep this ladoos for 3-4 days, if refrigerated. (Adding milk and coconut reduces shelf life of ladoos)
  • If using fresh grated coconut, roast it for 2 mins after roasting nuts. And dry roast sooji separately. Then mix everything together (roasted nuts and coconut, roasted sooji, sugar and cardamom powder and milk) and make ladoos.
