Palak Poori

Palak Poori/ Green Poori: A very healthy option for kids who don't like spinach. Kids will love the colour of the poori.


Ingredients:

  • Whole Meal Flour/ Wheat Flour: 1 cup
  • Spinach Leaves: 1 cup 
  • Oil: for frying
  • Salt: to taste
  • Ajwain/ Carom seeds: 1 tsp

Method:
  1. Spinach Puree:
    • Wash spinach and boil spinach with salt for 10-15 mins.
    • Let it cool and blend to form spinach puree.
  2. Knead dough by mixing flour, carom seeds and spinach puree. Dough should not be soft. (Dough should be a bit hard) (If needed, add a little water)
  3. Heat oil in kadai/ Deep frying pan.
  4. Take little dough and make small ball.  
  5. Roll it to with rolling pin to form a small chapati  with the help of oil. (Don't dust it with flour)
  6. Put it the kadai and fry till it turns golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with any chole or Aloo subzi.
