Ingredients:
- Onions: 2-3 (chopped)
- Ginger: a small piece
- Curry Leaves: a few
- Green chilli: 1 (chopped)
- Chana daal: 2-3 tbsp
- Garlic: 2-3 cloves
- Salt
- Tomatoes: 2-3(chopped)
- Oil: 2 tsp
Method:
- Heat 1 tsp oil in pan. Roast chana daal for 5-7 mins till it turns light brown.
- Keep aside.
- Heat remaining 1 tsp oil in pan.
- Add garlic and green chilli. Cook for a few mins.
- Add ginger, curry leaves, onion, salt and tomatoes. Cook for a few mins.
- Add roasted daal. Mix well.
- Turn off the flame.
- Let it cool.
- Grind it with a very little water, if needed.
- Chutney is ready to be served with dosa/ idli.
