Raita with Tempering/ Mix Veg Raita

I learnt this recipe from my friend Anubha. With tempering, the curd can be eaten in cold weather as well.


Ingredients:
  • Onion: 1/2 (chopped finely)
  • Tomato: 1/2 (chopped finely)
  • Cucumber: 1/4 (chopped finely)
  • Beaten Curd: 1 cup
  • Salt: to taste
  • For Tempering:
    • Oil: 1 tsp
    • Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
    • Green chilli: 1
    • Curry leaves: a few
    • Red chilli pwd: to taste

Method:
  • In a bowl, add curd.
  • Add chopped onions, tomatoes, cucumber and salt.
  • Tempering:
    • Heat oil in pan.
    • Add mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
    • Add green chilli, curry leaves and red chilli pwd.
    • Cook for a min. Turn off the flame.
  • Add this tempering in the curd.
  • Ready to serve with chapatiparantha and vegetable.
