Tomato Chutney



Ingredients:
  • Tomato: 5-6
  • Onion: 2-3
  • Ginger: a small piece (grated)
  • Raisins: 6-8 pieces
  • Cumin seeds: 1tbsp
  • Black Pepper pwd: to taste
  • Roasted Cumin Pwd: 2 tsp
  • Salt: to taste
  • Sugar: to taste (~ 1-2 tbsp)
  • Red chilli pwd: to taste
  • Oil: 2-3 tbsp
Method:
  1. Boil Tomatoes and peel their skin.
  2. Grind tomatoes and onions separately.
  3. Heat oil in pan. Add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  4. Add onions and ginger. Cook them till onions turn translucent.
  5. Add tomatoes, raisins, salt, sugar, black pepper pwd, red chilli pwd and cook on low flame for 40-45 mins.
  6. Ready to serve.
