Onion Bhaji (Onion Pakora)





Ingredients:
  • Gram Flour (Besan): 1/2 cup
  • Onion: 1 (chopped into thin round strips)
  • Green chilli: 1(chopped)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Carom seeds (Ajwain): 1/2 tsp (optional) 
  • Oil: for frying

Method:
  1. Mix gram flour, green chilli, salt, carom seeds with water (~1/4 cup) to form a smooth and slightly thick batter.
  2. Heat oil in kadai/ deep frying pan.
  3. Dip every onion slice in batter and fry till it turns golden brown. 
  4. Serve hot with Tomato Ketchup or mint sauce.
