Rava Upma



Ingredients:

  • Rava/ Semolina : 1 cup
  • Onion: 2(chopped)
  • Green chilli: 1 (chopped)
  • Tomato:1 (chopped)
  • Green peas: 1/2 cup 
  • Salt: to taste
  • Mustard seeds: 1-2 tsp
  • Oil/ butter: 5-6 tbsp

(You can add any vegetable you want)
Method:
  1. Heat oil in pan. Add oil/ butter(5 tbsp). Add Semolina. Cook it on low flame till it turns light brown.
  2. Turn off the gas.
  3. Again heat oil/ butter (1-2 tbsp) in another pan. Add mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
  4. Add onion. Cook till translucent.
  5. Add tomato, green chilli, salt and peas. Cook for few mins till done.
  6. Add semolina to the above vegetables and mix well.
  7. Cook on low flame for 2 mins and turn off gas.
  8. Serve hot. You can sprinkle few roasted peanuts on it before serving.
