Kesar Halwa

Happy Basant Panchmi!!



Ingredients:
  • Semolina: 1 cup
  • Desi Ghee: 1 cup
  • Sugar: 1 cup
  • Saffron strands: 2-3 (soaked in 2 tbsp milk for 2 hours)
  • Dryfruit:  For garnish
    • Almonds (chopped)
    • Cashews (chopped)
Method:
  1. Heat ghee in pan.
  2. Add semolina and cook it on low flame till it turns light brown.
  3. Add sugar and saffron( soaked in milk). Mix well.
  4. Add water (~ 4 cups) and cook for another 3-4 mins.
  5. Garnish with dry fruit and serve hot.
