Ingredients:
- Whole Meal Flour/ Wheat Flour : 1 cup
- Salt: to taste (~1 tsp )
- Ghee : 4 tbsp
Method:
- Knead dough with water (Prepare dough by mixing flour and just sufficient lukewarm water (~ 1/2 cup). Knead well with hands till the dough becomes soft and consistent). Keep aside for 1/2 hour.
- Take a little dough and make a small ball.
- Roll it to make chapati on the rolling board.
- Apply ghee on the top of chapati.
- Make a cut from centre to the circumference.
- Fold it to form a triangle.
- Hold the triangle and try to open the layers, carefully in such a way that the pointed end of triangle comes in the centre and layers come around it.
- Roll it again to make chapati/ parantha (Don't apply too much pressure while rolling as the layers will get destroyed)
- Heat non-stick pan/ tawa and put parantha/ chapati on it.
- Flip when it is slightly cooked (nearly after a few seconds)
- Flip again after a few seconds (when parantha turns slight brown). Now oil the top of parantha and flip it again.
- Oil the other side also. Flip it and heat for another few seconds till done.
- Yummy Lachha Parantha is ready to serve with any vegetable curry or daal/ lentil.
