Chickpeas Tikki

Thanks to my dear friend Anubha Bhargava from whom I got this idea :))                                



Ingredients:

  • Boiled Chick Peas:  1 cup 
  • Grated Paneer (Indian cottage cheese): 1/4 cup
  • Boiled Potato: 1 (optional) (grated)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Red chilli pwed: to taste
  • Green chilli: 1 (chopped)
  • Semolina: 1/2cup (optional)
  • Onion:1 (finely chopped)
  • Coriander leaves: a few (finely chopped)
  • Ginger : a small piece (grated)
  • Oil: 2 -3 tbsp

Method:
  1. Mash chick peas properly.
  2. Add paneer, potato, onion, salt, red chilli pwd, green chilli, semolina, ginger, coriander leaves and mix well.
  3. Heat tawa/ non-stick pan.
  4. Take a spoon of mixture on your hand. Make a round ball and put it on tawa.
  5. Grease it lightly on top. When it turns golden brown. Flip it and cook till done.
  6. Serve hot as :
    • Chaat - sprinkle yogurt, garam masala, tamarind chutney, boiled chick peas and coriander leaves.
