- Black eyed Beans/ Lobia/ Raungi : 1/2 cup
- Curry leaves: a few
- Tomatoes: 2-3 (chopped/ pureed)
- Ginger: a small piece (grated)
- Salt: to taste
- Green chilli: 1( chopped)
- Turmeric pwd: 1/2 tsp
- red chilli pwd: to taste
- Potato: 1 (chopped)
- Oil: 1 tsp
Method:
- Wash black eyed beans thoroughly.
- In a pressure cooker, add black eyed beans and ample water (~ 2 cups). Soak for approx 30-40 mins.
- Grind tomatoes, green chilli curry leaves and ginger to form a puree.
- Add this puree in the cooker.
- Add oil, red chilli pwd and salt.
- Take 2-3 whistles on high flame and cook on low flame for 15-20 mins on low flame.
- Ready to serve with chapati, parantha, nan or bread.
