Matar paneer Curry



Ingredients:

  • Indian cheese (Paneer): 100 gms (chopped)
  • Peas: 1/2 cup
  • Tomato :2 (chopped or pureed)
  • Ginger: a small piece (grated)
  • Red chilli pwd: to taste
  • Salt: to taste
  • Turmeric pwd: 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
  • Oil: 1-2 tbsp
Method:
  1. Heat oil in pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add ginger, tomatoes. Cook till done (without covering cooker's lid).
  3. Add peas, paneer, salt, red chilli pwd, turmeric pwd and water (~1-2 cups).
  4. Take 1 whistle and cook on low flame for 5 mins.
  5. Serve hot with chapati, parantha , nan or rice.
