Carrot and Peas Vegetable







Benefits of Carrots:
Carrots are a good source of proteins, iron, Vitamins like Vit A, B, C, D, E and K and fiber. Carrots are good for skin, hair, nails and also improves eyesight. Uncooked carrots contain beta-carotene that prevents cancer. Carrots are  good for liver and regulates blood sugar.

Benefits of peas:
Peas are good for bones, heart and overall health of a person as they are very rich in proteins, fiber and iron. They are also an excellent source of Vitamin K, A, C, B-vitamins like B1, B6, B3 and folic acid.

Ingredients:

  • Carrot: 3-4 (peeled and chopped)
  • Peas: 1/2 cup
  • Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric pwd: 1/2 tsp
  • Salt: to taste
  • Red chilli pwd: to taste 
  • Oil: 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan. Add cumin seeds. Let the splutter.
  2. Add turmeric pwd, Salt, red chilli pwd, carrots and peas.
  3. Cook on low flame till done.
  4. Ready to serve with chapati, nan or parantha.
