Kesari Pulao



Ingredients:
  • Basmati Rice: 1 cup
  • Sugar: 1 cup
  • Ghee: 3-4 tbsp
  • Dry fruit:
    • Raisins: 10-12 pieces
    • Almonds: 5-6 pices
    • Cashews: 5-6 pieces
  • Saffron flakes: 3-4 (Soaked in 2 tbsp milk ) 
  • Milk: less than 1/4 cup
Method:
  1. Wash rice properly and dip it in water(~ 2cups) for 15 mins. 
  2. Add sugar and milk. Take a boil on high flame and cook rice on low flame till done (~10-15 mins). Keep it aside.
  3. Heat ghee in  pan. Add dry fruits and saffron (soaked). Roast dry fruit for few mins on low flame. Turn off gas.
  4. Add the cooked rice to the roasted dry fuits and mix well.
  5. Ready to serve.
