Aloo Tikki



Ingredients:

  • Potato: 3-4 (boiled, peeled and mashed)
  • Peas : 1/4 cup (boiled and mashed)
  • Channa daal: 1/8 cup (boiled and slightly mashed)
  • Onion: 1/2(chopped finely)
  • Green chilli (chopped)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Garam masala: to taste
  • Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • Coriander pwd: 1/4 tsp
  • Cornflour: 1-2 tbsp
  • Oil: for frying


Method:

  1. Mix potato, peas, onion, coriander leaves and salt.
  2. Inner filling/ Daal mixture:
    • Mix channa dal, onion, salt, coriander pwd, garam masala and green chilli.
    • Keep  it aside.
  3. Take little portion of mashed potatoes in hand.
  4. Make a small hole in it and put 1 tsp of daal mixture in it and seal the ball.
  5. Dust it with corn flour and Slightly press the ball to make it flat.
  6. Heat oil in pan.
  7. Deep fry the tikkis or shallow fry it till golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
