Tinda/ Apple Gourd

  • Tinda (Indian round Gourd or Apple Gourd or Indian baby Pumpkin):  7-8 (peeled and chopped)
  • Onions: 3-4 ( chopped)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Red chilli pwd: to taste
  • Turmeric pwd: to taste
  • Oil: 3-4 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds: 1-2 tsp 


  1. Heat oil in pan. Add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add onions and saute for few mins. Add haldi, salt and red chilli pwd.
  3.  Add tomatoes and tinda. Cook on low flame till done. 
  4. Turn off the gas.
  5. Serve with chapatiparantha and curd.
