Rava Vegetable Idli





Ingredients:
  • Rava/ Sooji: 2 cups
  • Eno sachet : 1
  • Baking soda: a pinch
  • Curd: 1/2- 1 cup
  • Salt: to taste
  • Onion: 1-2 (chopped)
  • Tomatoes : 1-2 (chopped)
  • Mustard seeds: 1 tbsp
Method:
  1. Mix rava, curd, baking soda, salt, mustard seeds and water (~1- 1.5 cups) to form batter (Batter should not be thick, if needed add more water). Keep it aside for 1/2- 1 hour.
  2. Now take little batter in separate pan (the amount that you have to put in idli stand, keep the rest aside). Add tomatoes, onion and  eno (1/4 tsp). Mix it and pour it in idli stand and steam it for 10-15 mins. (After adding eno, pour batter in idli stand asap) . 
  3. Serve hot with ketchup or any chutney of your choice. 
PS:
  • If using microwave, 4-5 mins should suffice.
