Aloo Tamatar ki Sabzi



Ingredients:

  • Potato: 4-5 (Don't peel) (chopped)
  • Green chilli: 1 (chopped)
  • Ginger: 1 inch piece (grated)
  • Tomato: 4 (pureed)
  • Oil: 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric pwd: 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida: a pinch
  • Salt: to taste
  • Coriander leaves : a few (chopped)
Method:
  1. Heat oil in cooker. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida.
  2. Add ginger, green chilli , salt, turmeric pwd and tomato puree.
  3. Add chopped potatoes and approx 1 glass water.
  4. Close the cooker and take 1 whistle.
  5. Simmer and cook for 10 mins.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot with poori, chapati or parantha.
