Tofu Pulao



Ingredients:
  • Basmati Rice: 1 cup
  • Onion: 1 (chopped)
  • Tofu (cubed)
  • Green beans-8-10 (chopped)
  • Tomato: 2-3 (pureed)
  • Ginger (grated/ chopped)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Red chilli pwd: to taste
  • Oil: 1-2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds: 1-2 tsp
  • Black Cardamom : 1 (coarsely grinded)
  • Black pepper corns: 3-4 (coarsely grinded)
  • Cloves: 2-3 (coarsely grinded)

Method:

  1. Wash and soak rice in water (2cups) for 10-15 mins.
  2. Heat oil in pan.
  3. Add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  4. Add black cardamom, black pepper, cloves.
  5. Add ginger and onions. Cook for few minutes. 
  6. Add tomato puree, green beans, rice (with water in which it was soaked), salt, red chilli pwd and tofu.
  7. Take 1 boil and cook on low flame for 10-15 mins till done.
  8. Serve hot.
