Ingredients:
- Basmati Rice: 1 cup
- Onion: 1 (chopped)
- Tofu (cubed)
- Green beans-8-10 (chopped)
- Tomato: 2-3 (pureed)
- Ginger (grated/ chopped)
- Salt: to taste
- Red chilli pwd: to taste
- Oil: 1-2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds: 1-2 tsp
- Black Cardamom : 1 (coarsely grinded)
- Black pepper corns: 3-4 (coarsely grinded)
- Cloves: 2-3 (coarsely grinded)
Method:
- Wash and soak rice in water (2cups) for 10-15 mins.
- Heat oil in pan.
- Add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add black cardamom, black pepper, cloves.
- Add ginger and onions. Cook for few minutes.
- Add tomato puree, green beans, rice (with water in which it was soaked), salt, red chilli pwd and tofu.
- Take 1 boil and cook on low flame for 10-15 mins till done.
- Serve hot.
