Bhindi/ Okra/ Ladyfinger Vegetable/ Bhindi Do Pyaza

Bhindi Do Pyaza

Benefits of Ladyfinger:

It is good for stomach, helps in treating irritable bowels and good for digestion. 


  • Ladyfinger/ Okra/ Bhindi : 300-400 gms (chopped)
  • Onions: 2 (chopped)
  • Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric pwd: 1 tsp
  • Salt: to taste
  • Oil: 2-3 tbsp
  • Red chilli pwd: to taste
  • Amchur/ Mango pwd: 1 tsp
  1. Heat oil in pan. Add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add onions and cook them till they turn turn translucent.
  3. Add bhindi/ okra/ ladyfinger, salt, amchur, red chilli pwd and turmeric pwd. Mix well. 
  4. Cook on low flame till okra/bhindi is done (~ 10 mins)
  5. Serve hot with chapati or parantha and daal or curd.
